My Day Today

So today I spent most of the day in the apartment, nothing unusual there!  I ordered some wedding pics off of Walgreen's website a few days ago and haven't picked up the pictures yet so I went up there awhile ago to pic up the pictures.  I get there and they tell me I already picked them up....ummm, don't you think I would have known if I would have picked them up already?  They finally found the file and reprinted them for me.  After I checked out and started to leave a guy came in and said he was given pics that weren't his...it just so happens his wife's name is Kristie Adams and she was given hers and mine.  Case solved, so I really wasn't there already to pick up my pictures!  :-)  I haven't officially changed my last name...which is why I used Adams...in case you were wondering!

I suppose I need to change my last name officially, however, I do have a reason it's not done yet....yes, even with all my spare time.  The place I have to go is downtown which requires a parking garage or metered parking.  Well, if I get the job I was originally hoping to get it's right down the street practically so I thought I could do it over a lunch break since I was already there.  BUT, when I had my last interview...I was 'saving money' so I parked on the street rather then the garage.  It just so happens I came out of my interview at 3:10 pm and I had a ticket on my windshield!!!  Apparently you aren't allowed parking where I was between 3-6pm, problem was, I didn't see a sign ANYWHERE.  So, my saving money ended up costing me the meter plus a $15 ticket!  I was not happy so I'm avoiding downtown unless I have another reason to head down there as well. 

During my time home I have enjoyed looking up recipes and cooking dinner for Steve.  I told Andrea the one night when she called she was interrupting 'my cooking show.'  Yes, sometimes I pretend I have my own show and talk to myself (aka my audience).  I should probably not be admitting this to everyone but it would be fun!  Anyways, we have a week full of menus with usually Thursday night being the Leftover night.  However, I'm making French Onion Soup for Saturday.  I love having meals simmering in the crock-pot so we can eat whenever we get hungry on Saturdays.  So, I'm cooking my onions right now and as much as I love the smell, my eyes are killing me!  Since my eye surgery I can not even cut one onion without having flowing tears out of my left eye.  Anyways, I made a french onion soup recipe before and it was to die for!  Steve loves french onion soup and so do I so I'll let you know how it turns out!

Time to go for now but I might have some fun pics to share this weekend...we'll see!  One of Steve's employees wives got tickets for the Breeder's Cup at Churchill Downs this weekend for Millionaire's Row and might have two extra tickets...if so, we might be going!!!  Woohoo!  Steve said if we do go we have to dress up but I don't know if this one requires a hat or not!  Might have to go shopping!

My first post!

Hi Friends and Family....
I have had so many people asking how married life is, how's job hunting, are you unpacked yet, how do you like KY, etc.  So....I decided to create a blog.  This way, everyone can know what's going on "if you choose to" without me going on and on and on.  haha!  I'm very new to this and have no idea what I'm doing yet but it doesn't seem that hard so far! 

I should probably be job searching rather than playing on the internet but I think this will help me get out thoughts...rather than just talking to Gracie all day!  :-) 

I'm going to go ahead and post this and see what happens!  More to come but like I said, I'm just playing now to learn what I'm doing.
